Student Poem of the Month — October 2004

Morning   © by   Lauren Phillips

The cool crisp morning, dewy and damp.
The shadow of the sun lurks behind the trees.
Misty fog moistens the ground with cool drops of water.
The birds chirping like a soft symphony.
The faint whistle of the morning train
passing through the train station.
The church bell rings in the distance.
The children rush to school as the bell rings.
