My Remarkable Superb Magnificent Outstanding Beach Trip
© by   Sarah Grace Mould

Splash!
I see the blue warm salty ocean,
White foam sizzles and splashes through the water.
I see Grammie, Jenn, and Hannah calling me.
Helen playing in the sand.
I touch the sand—my hand slides through.
Sticky crumbly crunchy sand,
It feels wet and smooth.
I feel the Nintendo handle and Chocho my toy.
I feel Jenn, I’m hugging her goodnight.
Now I feel my sheets,
I’m getting into bed,
(Yawn) “Good night.”

I wake up in the morning and smell yummy breakfast.
I smell salt in the water and Margaret’s picnic lunch.
We go back to the house and I smell my sandwich.
Lunch, Yummy as dessert.
“Yum” I also have yogurt!

The next morning I hear Daddy’s snoring.
I go downstairs and hear Helen’s lamby,
Hayward’s music upstairs.
Outside I hear Nick crying, Grammie and Ian talking,
Rocking chairs rocking,
Cereal crunching.

And at the ocean I hear…
Shovels shoveling, waves crashing,
Seagulls, “Ceroak, cock Ceroak!”
Hannah and Grandpa yelling,
Chairs rattling while we’re walking to the house…
Now Helen screaming,
And sheets rustling, (Yawn) “Good Night!”
