Student Poem of the Month — June 2003

Graceful, Beautiful Things   © by   Anna Burchfield

Wildflower,
Teach me of your gracefulness how you wave through the sun.
Apple,
Tell me how you get so sweet swinging through the winds.
Cactus,
Show me how you get the wonderful protection.
Maple tree,
Shade me with your bright red orange leaves.
Sea,
Give me hope and pray for me.
Rock,
Be strong for me and give me courage.
Seeds,
Sing to me as you twirl through the graceful wind.
