Student Poem of the Month — September 2002

As I look outside up into the sky,
I notice some birds flying high.
Twirling swirling swooping and diving,
I wish I was out there with them flying.

Instead the horrible truth sets in,
What could I have done to deserve this? What kind of sin?
Instead of flying with my winged buddies,
I’m stuck here sitting in Social Studies!
