NIGHT ©
by Kari Danford

When the sun begins to disappear…
And the day fades into night,
The dark is full of mystery and fear,
the sky is no longer bright.

Strange sounds begin to fill the air,
Stars begin to fill the sky,
Strange things watching from everywhere,
Creatures passing by.

In the sky hangs the beautiful moon,
Above the ground a thick fog is hovering,
In the sky clouds are covering…
The moon which will fade away soon.

On the road a car is coming,
Everywhere creatures are humming,
Singing, and chirping all around
Blending together to make a beautiful sound.

Bats are flying in the sky,
In the woods are fireflies,
In the trees birds are nesting,
Deep in the woods animals are resting.

Shadows are casted upon…
The gound as the sun begins to rise.
Daylight is once again here,
Nighttime is now gone.
