In an infant's open-armed embrace I blurs into not-I and no question of justice arises only chance mercies a full breast. In this predacious universe corn is not outraged by locust plankton by whale, light by black hole but we --until our eyes grow soft enough to dissolve barriers again-- draw boundaries cement bonds search for justice while crows rise from a sunlit field of wheat like sparks from a fire.
