Move on Up — A Group Ride   © by   John R. Ferree

Move on up, Brothers!
There is room for all of us in front of that slow moving car
The day is young and the way ahead is good, though far.
Move on up!

Move on up, Sisters!
One bike in a curve is a flying thing, a lovely thing, privately done
Ten bikes in a curve is a sensuous charge and all are one.
Move on up!

Move on up, Brothers!
Join our minds like birds and fishes, flocks and schools
Elemental connections where whimsy displaces thoughts and rules.
Move on up!

Move on up, Sisters!
What we are doing is beyond our understanding and can vanish if you try
Claim your space, ride your motor, and never, ever question why.
Move on up!

Move on up, Brothers!
Let's not forget that we're doing something extraordinary, here
Let's not forget that this road is ours and this moment dear.
Move on up!

Move on up, Sisters!
Let the road roll under our whirling, tapping tires
Let the wind blow through our minds and fan the feeling fires.
Move on up!
