"Just Praise" Does your spirit yearn for that chance to sing your praises to the Lord? Then "Just Praise" is exactly what you are looking for. Beginning Sunday, April 5 at 7:00 pm, people will gather in the sanctuary at Daniels Memorial to JUST PRAISE the Lord using contemporary praise songs, testimonies of the ways God is transforming lives, and powerful prayer. "Just Praise" will be held the 1st Sunday night of each month at 7:00 pm. If you have a special song that you would like us singing during these times of worship, it would help to email the song. Sending the lyrics would be even better so that a PowerPoint can be prepared so everyone can "Just Praise" the Lord with that song. REMEMBER: First Sunday of each Month at 7:00 pm

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER PRAYER…AMERICA’S HOPE Have we lost our way in this nation? Do we long for a time when God was our first thought instead of our last resort? Is there a way back to the God of our heritage? Yes. Prayer was, and is and always will be the key. E. M. Bounds states, "Blessed is that nation that has praying men and women who can aid civil rulers who are greatly perplexed and in great difficulty." As the people of God, we have the ability to bring the power of our Sovereign God into the daily life of our nation. God stands ready to hear our cries and to give relief. It must never be forgotten that our God rules this world. He is not an absentee Father. His hand is always on the controls of human affairs. The above message is from Beth Moore, the 2009 Honorary Chairman of the National Day of Prayer Task Force. On Thursday, May 7, we will join other Christians across America in praying for our nation. We have set aside Wednesday, May 6, as a day of fasting in preparation for this prayer event. The sanctuary will be open during the day. On Thursday we will begin with a men's prayer breakfast at 6:30am. Bob Bandy will be the guest speaker for the men’s prayer time. At noon, we will have a prayer luncheon for the ladies. Linda Grider will be sharing during this time. We look forward to having both Bob and Linda come “back home” to be with us. We will conclude the day with a cook-out for our families as we gather in the backyard for prayer and worship at 6:30pm. On Sunday, April 26 and May 3, you will have an opportunity to purchase flags that will be placed outside around the church to represent different areas that you specifically want to pray for. These areas include Government, Military, Media, Business, Education, Church, and Family. The envelopes will be in the church bulletin on these two Sundays. The price is $1.00 for each flag. As you can see, we have a full day planned in observance of the National Day of Prayer. We believe if our nation ever needed prayer, it is now. Please begin praying for this time of concentrated prayer in our church and around the country. As a praying church, let us unite and come before the Lord as the body of Christ. “May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you.” (Psalm 33:22)

Just a note to say how beautiful the new lights fixture in the sanctuary are. How thankful we are to the Cox's Family. Also, Thanks to Ray for the beautiful job he does on the website.
